Advanced charts with a built-in trade planner
Live crypto and forex charts with indicators, drawing tools, up to four layouts, watchlists and alerts, plus a long/short tool that shows your size, costs and break-even win rate. No login.
What you can do on this page
Advanced Charts puts a full chart workspace and a trade calculator on one screen. Pick a crypto pair or a forex rate, switch between nine timeframes from one minute to one month, add indicators, draw on the chart, and place a long or short position to see the size, the costs and the result if the stop or the target is hit. Up to four charts can sit side by side, each with its own symbol, timeframe and drawings.
Everything runs in your browser. There is no login, your layouts are saved on your device, and the only network calls are to the public data sources listed further down.
Indicators
Open the ƒx Indicators menu and tick what you need. Moving averages, Bollinger Bands and VWAP draw on the price pane; RSI, MACD, the stochastic oscillator and ATR open in their own panes underneath, which you can resize by dragging the separator.
- SMA and EMA (20, 50, 200). Simple and exponential moving averages of the close. The EMA reacts faster because recent bars carry more weight.
- Bollinger Bands (20, 2). A 20-bar simple average with lines two standard deviations above and below it. Wide bands mean the recent bars moved a lot; narrow bands mean they moved little.
- VWAP. The volume-weighted average price since the start of each UTC day. It is shown on intraday timeframes only, because a daily VWAP on daily bars says nothing new.
- RSI (14). Wilder’s relative strength index on a 0–100 scale, with guide lines at 30 and 70.
- MACD (12, 26, 9). The gap between the 12- and 26-bar EMAs, its 9-bar signal line, and the histogram between them.
- Stochastic (14, 3, 3). Where the close sits in the 14-bar high–low range, smoothed, with guide lines at 20 and 80.
- ATR (14). Wilder’s average true range: the typical size of one bar including gaps. It is also used to place the first stop when you add a position.
Drawing tools
The rail on the left holds the tools: trend line, ray, horizontal line, vertical line, rectangle, Fibonacci retracement, text note and a measure tool that shows the price change, the percentage and the number of bars between two points. Click and drag on the chart to draw. Select a drawing to move it or drag its end points, and press Delete to remove it. Press Esc to go back to the cursor, which pans and zooms the chart.
The position tool: what makes this different
Most chart sites let you draw a long or short box. TradeProfy turns that box into a full trade plan. Press ▲ Long or ▼ Short and click where you would enter. The tool puts the stop 1.5 average true ranges away and the target at twice that distance, as a starting point only. Drag the three handles on the right edge to move the target, the entry or the stop.
The Plan tab then shows, for your account size and risk per trade:
- the position size in shares, lots or coins, rounded down so the loss never exceeds your limit;
- the net reward-to-risk after fees, slippage, spread and, for perpetual futures, funding;
- the break-even win rate before and after costs, and the expectancy at the win rate you set;
- what you keep if the target is hit and what you lose if the stop is hit, both after costs;
- an amber line on the chart for the price you need just to cover costs, and for leveraged crypto an estimated liquidation price with a check that the stop comes first.
From there, Simulate 200 trades sends the same numbers to the Risk Lab, and Save to Journal adds the plan to your private trading journal.
Data sources and delays
| Market | Source | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto (USDT pairs) | Binance public market data; Coinbase public candles as a fallback | Live while the page is open |
| Forex | European Central Bank reference rates, served by the Frankfurter API | One rate per working day, about 16:00 CET |
| Stocks and ETFs | Shown only when a licensed data feed is connected; otherwise import your own CSV | As labelled on the chart |
All chart times are in UTC. The badge at the top right of each chart names the source and whether the data is live, end-of-day or from your own file.
Keyboard and touch
Delete removes the selected drawing, Esc returns to the cursor. On a phone or tablet the handles have a larger touch area, the drawing tools sit in a row above the chart, and the side panel moves below it.
Limits
This is a planning and learning tool, not a trading terminal. It does not connect to brokers, place orders or stream order books. Indicator values can differ slightly from other platforms because of the amount of history loaded and the way each platform seeds its averages. Fee and funding defaults are typical public figures to start from; replace them with your own broker’s numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Is the crypto data live?
Yes. Crypto charts load candles from Binance’s public market-data service and then update every couple of seconds over a WebSocket while the page is open. The badge on each chart shows LIVE when the stream is connected. If Binance cannot be reached, the chart tries Coinbase’s public candles for the main coins.
Why are forex charts a line and not candles?
Forex charts use the European Central Bank’s reference rates, which are published once per working day at about 16:00 CET. One number a day cannot make an honest candle, so daily forex charts are drawn as a line. Weekly and monthly views group those daily rates into bars. They are reference rates, not the prices a broker would deal at.
Can I chart US stocks or Indian stocks?
Exchange prices for stocks need a licensed data feed. TradeProfy shows stock and ETF charts only when such a feed is connected on the server, and it never fills the gap with made-up numbers. You can chart any stock today by exporting daily OHLC data as a CSV file from your broker or exchange and opening it with the CSV button. The file stays in your browser.
Where are my drawings and watchlists saved?
In your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and clearing your browser data removes them. Use the Share button to copy a link that rebuilds the chart and any position you placed.
Do the price alerts work when I close the page?
No. Alerts are checked in your browser against the live crypto stream, so they only fire while a TradeProfy charts page is open. Allow notifications if you want a pop-up when one triggers.
Is the chart read-out a trading signal?
No. The read-out describes the bars on screen: where price sits against its moving averages, the RSI value, the average true range and the recent range. It does not forecast anything and it does not say buy or sell.
Which charting library do you use?
TradingView Lightweight Charts™, an open-source library released under the Apache 2.0 licence, self-hosted on tradeprofy.com. The drawing tools, position tool, indicators and planner maths are TradeProfy’s own code.
