About TradeProfy

Free calculators that show what a trade really costs in India, built by Mantu Kumar and checked against official rates.

Why TradeProfy exists

Most traders look at the gap between their buy and sell price. The contract note tells a different story: brokerage, STT, exchange charges, the SEBI fee, stamp duty, GST and DP charges all take a share, and on small moves they can turn a winning trade into a losing one. TradeProfy was built to answer one question before you place an order: after every charge, how much do you actually keep?

What the site offers

  • A brokerage calculator for equity delivery, intraday, futures, options and MCX commodities, with presets for Zerodha, Groww, Upstox and Angel One.
  • Six more calculators for position sizing, risk-reward, exit targets, margin, compounding and SIP.
  • Guides that explain each charge with the current rates and worked examples.

Who runs it

TradeProfy is built and maintained by Mantu Kumar and operated by Universal Hospitality, a business based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, that builds free browser-based web tools. Mantu writes the calculators and the guides and is responsible for keeping the rates current.

Our principles

  • Free, no sign-up. No account, paywall or usage limit.
  • Private. Calculations run in your browser; the trades you enter are not sent to or stored by TradeProfy.
  • Rates with a date. Every rate is checked against exchange circulars, the Finance Act and broker rate cards, and the check date is shown. See how we check rates.
  • Education, not advice. We explain costs and maths. We never tell you what to buy or sell.

Independence

TradeProfy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any broker, exchange or regulator. Broker presets exist because many readers use those brokers, not because of any partnership. TradeProfy is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. Read the full disclaimer.

How the site is funded

TradeProfy shows Google AdSense advertising and accepts optional support through Razorpay. Advertisers have no influence on the calculators or the guides, and ads are kept separate from results.

Corrections

If a rate or a result looks wrong, email [email protected] with the segment, prices, quantity and the source you are comparing with. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page date is updated.
