Brokerage calculator: see your real net P&L before you trade.
Most traders only look at the price difference. On every NSE/BSE trade — equity delivery, intraday or F&O — the exchange, government and your broker quietly take their cut. TradeProfy lays out every charge like a real contract note, whether you trade with Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, Angel One or any other broker, so you know exactly what you keep.
Built on a discount-broker (Zerodha-style) charge model. Rates are indicative and may change — always confirm with your broker’s contract note.
What charges apply to every Indian trade?
Every Indian equity or F&O trade carries seven charges: brokerage, STT/CTT, exchange transaction fees, SEBI charges, stamp duty, DP charges on delivery sells, and 18% GST on the service fees. Together they typically total between 0.05% and 0.3% of turnover, and your net profit is the price difference minus this stack.
Official rate sources: NSE India · BSE India · SEBI · CDSL · Income Tax Department (STT). Rates are revised periodically — the calculator's rate table is kept in one place and updated when statutory charges change.
How do charges differ between delivery, intraday and F&O?
Delivery pays 0.1% STT on both buy and sell plus a DP charge, but zero brokerage on discount plans. Intraday and futures pay STT only on the sell side plus flat ₹20-per-order brokerage. Options are charged on premium value, where exchange fees run highest at roughly 0.035%.

What does a real trade actually cost?
Take 100 shares bought at ₹500 and sold at ₹520 — a gross profit of ₹2,000. In delivery, charges total ₹131.30 (6.6% of the gross), leaving ₹1,868.70. The identical numbers run as intraday cost only ₹54.30 (2.7%), leaving ₹1,945.70, because delivery STT applies on both sides.

| Brokerage | ₹0.00 | ₹30.60 |

STT charges calculator
Securities Transaction Tax is usually the biggest line on an equity contract note. Every tab above computes it automatically — segment-wise rates are in the STT charges guide.
Trading GST rate
GST on trading is 18% — but only on service charges like brokerage, exchange transaction fees and SEBI charges, never on STT or stamp duty. The calculator applies it to the right lines; details in the GST on trading charges guide.
Commodity brokerage calculator
Trading crude oil, gold or natural gas on MCX? Commodity trades carry CTT instead of STT, plus their own exchange charges. Read the MCX commodity charges breakdown — an MCX tab in this calculator is on the roadmap.
Flat ₹20 brokerage plans
Zerodha, Groww, Upstox and Angel One all cap intraday and F&O brokerage near ₹20 per order — yet net costs still differ. The broker charges comparison lines them up side by side.
